Responsible slow travel made effortless: active, independent and carefree

Our trips connect travellers with local life through family-run accommodations, lesser-known routes, and authentic experiences that respect both people and place.

By working closely with local partners, we make sustainability a natural part of how we travel: reducing our footprint, strengthening local economies, and preserving the cultural and natural heritage that make every adventure unique.

Whether travellers choose a ready-made itinerary or a fully tailored adventure, our mission stays the same: to make responsible slow travel effortless and enjoyable for everyone.

What guides the way we travel every day

  • landscape walking horse

    Travelling slow

We design travel at a slower pace. Clear and straightforward organisation gives travellers the space to experience each adventure in an enjoyable and effortless way.

  • local food

    Staying local

We work with family-run accommodations and regional experts who know their communities best. Every adventure helps strengthen local economies.

  • sustainable fruit

    Working fair

We believe in honest, reliable partnerships built on mutual respect and long-term cooperation. That's why we treat our travellers, suppliers, and colleagues with fairness.

  • cyclists

    Acting responsible

We take responsibility for the way we travel and the places we visit. That means reducing our footprint, and choosing fair, low-impact options in everything we do.

What this looks like in practice

All of our tours support nature, local communities, and a slower way of travelling.

For us, sustainability isn't a statement, it's built into the way we travel. From the partners we choose to how we design and operate each trip, every small action adds to the positive local impact we make.

Be Green: pack it yourself

Skip the baggage transfer and carry your own luggage instead, and save between €80 and €440 on your trip. Available on six of our routes, less transport means a real saving for you too.

Staff kept on, even in the off-season

We work with small, family-run places like the Manoir de Montesquiou, where the owner keeps his team on all year, even in the winter closure. It's the stability we look for in our partners.

Giving Back to Nature

For every booking, a €5 contribution is added, which we match to double its impact. Together we support projects that protect nature, preserve biodiversity, and nurture local communities.

Giving Back To Nature

One van, not four taxis

For baggage transfer we choose partners like OK Ça Roule and La Malle Postale, who combine bags from many customers into one full van, instead of a private taxi for just our travellers.

Grapes grown out back

We choose places like Villa Limonade, where meals are cooked from local, seasonal ingredients, including grapes grown on the property itself.

Digital first, paper by request

Roadbooks, routes and GPS tracks are delivered through our GUIBO app; around 90% of our travellers go fully digital. Printed materials are optional and priced separately.

Where they're available, we use partners like OK Ça Roule and La Malle Postale, who combine bags from many different customers into one full van, rather than a private taxi collecting just yours. This isn't available on every route, but it's our preferred choice wherever it is.

Yes, on certain trips, through our Be Green option. Carry your own bag on the bike instead, and you'll save between €80 and €440, depending on the trip.

Wherever we can, we choose small, often family-run places: think a hotel that keeps its team employed through the winter closure, or one that cooks with grapes grown on its own land. On some routes, especially in bigger towns, a larger hotel or chain is the only option available.

Some of our routes are developed entirely in-house to reach places few other operators go, like our Cantal walking-route through a rural region tourism rarely reaches.

We don't recommend specific restaurants, but our roadbooks and app do point you to local shops, cafés and bars, the kind locals actually use.

Yes, roadbooks, routes and GPS tracks all sit in our GUIBO app. Around 90% of travellers go fully digital; printed materials are available on request for an extra fee.

For every booking, a €5 contribution to the Giving Back to Nature is added, which we match to double its impact. Together we support projects that protect nature, preserve biodiversity, and nurture local communities.

We hold Travelife Partner status, an intermediate stage in Travelife's certification programme, and we're working toward full Travelife Certification.

Not yet. We're introducing carbon calculations from 2026 onward, starting with our most popular routes.

TRAVELIFE

We have been Travelife Partner since 2025.

Responsible travel is easy to claim, but we chose to verify it through Travelife. As an independent certification programme for tour operators, Travelife evaluates how we manage our impact on people and the environment.

We hold Travelife Partner status, an intermediate stage in the programme. Reaching it means Travelife has assessed our sustainability report and confirmed we meet its basic requirements, covering the accommodation partners we choose, how we treat our guides, how we track our carbon footprint, and how we run our office. It qualifies us to work step by step toward full Travelife Certification, the final stage.

For us, it's a way of making sure that what we say about responsible travel matches what we actually do.
